NASA's latest mission, Crew-13, is set to break new ground in space health research. Aboard the International Space Station, astronauts will participate in studies examining how space affects blood flow and clotting, supported by a collaboration with the European Space Agency. They will undergo comprehensive medical tests to detect vision and brain changes, and their return-to-Earth experiences will provide insights on refining re-entry hardware.

In a bid to improve future missions, astronauts will also engage in manual piloting simulations that analyze how extended spaceflight impacts their sensory and motion control systems. These studies aim to enhance astronaut health and decision-making in challenging piloting conditions.
