...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING DUE TO WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR NORTH BAY INTERIOR MOUNTAINS... .Moderate offshore winds are expected to develop Thursday night into Friday morning over the North Bay Interior Mountains. Conditions will be very dry with very poor overnight humidity recoveries only reaching 14 to 24 percent. Rapid fire spread is possible given the combination of gusty northerly winds and very dry overnight conditions. The National Weather Service in San Francisco CA has issued a Fire Weather Watch. * AFFECTED AREA...North Bay Interior Mountains. * TIMING...From this evening through Friday morning. * WINDS 20 FOOT...North winds 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Relative Humidity between 14 to 24 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast during the valid watch time. These conditions could promote the rapid spread of wildfires which could become life-threatening. Check weather.gov/mtr for forecast updates and a possible upgrade of this watch to a Red Flag Warning. Also consider signing up for your city, county, or state emergency alert system. Follow all fire restrictions. One less spark, one less wildfire. Never leave burning debris or camp fires unattended; extinguish them completely. Avoid using equipment or machinery that could create a spark. Secure tow chains to avoid dragging and subsequent sparks. Never toss cigarette butts out of your vehicle's window. Remember, one less spark, one less flame.
